Fri1122001 :: Highlights In A Nutshell
Okay-- lets see here's the run down to a busy week.
-after an assessment test and a 2nd interview I was hired as a Bank of America teller. Wed. I went and meet everyone at the branch I applied to work at and everyone was super nice. I have 8 days m-th (for 2 consecutive weeks) of training in San Francisco and then I'll be offically on the job. I have one major exam, 1 major paper, 2 short papers that I need to do over the weekend--- so I will be busy bust busy. It's kind of a lot to take in, so I'm planning on pacing myself. But this means all computer time must be devoted to said projects: from typing notes up for myself, to writing papers and analyses. ~I NEED MORE HRS IN THE DAY~

Sun10282001 :: Geek Attack
Keeping in pace with everyone else Here are my geek results:
Geek Purity Test:
Here is the result of your Geek Purity Test.
You answered "yes" to 14 of 129 questions, making you 89.1% geek pure (10.9% geek corrupt); that is, you are 89.1% pure in the geek domain (you have 10.9% geek in you).
Your Weirdness Factor (AKA Uniqueness Factor) is 22%, based on a comparison of your test results with 28706 other submissions for this test.
The average purity for this test is 79.4%.
The last parts had stuff I'd associate with grossness more than geekdom ^.^;; in the middle of it all was "do you want to get married"....that's an undesirable trait? What's up with that? ^.^;;
I AM 26% GEEK.
I probably work in computers, or a history
deptartment at a college. I never really
fit in with the "normal" crowd. But I have
friends, and this is a good thing.
Take the GEEK Test at Fuali.com!
Jenny you are right-- that guy is a little fugliy ^.^;; but with a makeover (a major one) he could be attractive, anything is possible. [but he'll probably never be as cool looking as your Gackt ^.~] ~Come On, Spiderman Can SO Take Wolverine!~

Sat10272001 :: o /~ A 3 Hour Tour o/~
Busy week-- but the irony is I probably spent more time on the internet total than usual-- yet I failed to find time to blog all week. I could write about being stuck on a hot day in a non-airconditioned BART car with 30 noisy 2nd graders who smelled of mud and candy. But I'd rather not relive and immortalize that hellish episode here. :P
So I'll focus on yesterday-- I called back the staff rep. from Bank of America where I interviewed a couple fridays ago for the 3rd time. (you see she called monday when I wasn't home and left a message on the machine-- every day afterwards I've played tag with her machine with no reply back. Just my luck she'd take off in the middle of the week). Finally reached her Friday-- after deciding I had to stay at home at least till after 8:30 and call her if I had any chance of reaching her. So I waited and called-- and was half surpised her voice was live and not from the machine for once. After an akward beginning I was told I needed to take an assesment test & a second interview and then if that went well I would have to go to one of their training centers for class for a week. Having class everday presented a major problem as it made it near impossible for me to schedule both. But I made a decision that moment that I've been without a job for far too long and with my academic standing the classes I had to miss to meet their needs were doable for me.
I got directions for the assessment test they were having the coming Tuesday at 1 o'clock. Thing is I will have to miss meeting my journal-mates >.< arrrg. There was a midterm 2 classes ago-- and the meeting in class of the people we have been writing a journal with was scheduled the day after the midterm. But we were struck by the phenomenon that always happens that even people who come to class all the time-- won't come to class the 1st class after a major exam. It's one of those mystical academic wonders of the universe. :::Cue cheezy mystical background music::: So it was rescheduled >.<. ...and now I will have to miss it to go take a 2hr joke of a test. >.< But I guess it's okay-- got to roll with the punches I guess.
After classes I went to find were the location of the test was ahead of time so I wouldn't have to worry about that the day I got to take it. Let me just say I'm glad I looked for it ahead of time because I spent a total of 3hrs start to return finding that place. It was in Concord and I think I walked through a major stretch of it. I don't have a great sense of direction, but the directions weren't the greatest either.
Directions: Walk 5 blocks
Me: 5 Blocks..ok.... ::stands at a major intersection:: ..5 blocks what direction?!?!
Everyone on the street was either really busy walking or flying past on a bike. (Gosh-- a lot of people ride bikes in Concord.) So I asked at Longs and got some conflicting info. The kicker is I saw a starbucks in my wanderings and sat down and had a frappachino....and low and behold--- the place I was looking for was ACROSS THE STREET! I don't know if I'm lucky or senile. ^.^ It was a nice little adventure-- but I have to admit my feet were killing me walking to the parking lot after I got off the BART. But it's all good ^.^. ~I Wish I Had A Good Sense Of Direction~
